We continue to work with local primary and secondary schools on a range of programmes.
We currently deliver forest school programmes with St Erth, St Marys COE, Pensans, St Just and Penpol Primary Schools.
We are also delivering a Transition Project funded by Children In Need, and supported by local schools.
This Tansition Project is now in its 3rd year and supports local children in their transition from Year 6 to Year 7. These children have been identified as needing additional support at this important time in their development. Children in year 6 have been taking part in forest school sessions in the summer terms and during the summer holidays. Children in year 7 have been taking part in forest school sessions during the autumn and spring terms. The children have engaged well with the project and value the support it gives them. As part of this project the children work towards a John Muir Discovery Award.
Recently Cornwall Community Foundation funded us to run a mentoring pilot project alongside the Transition Project for the more complex children we support.
