The Shifting Horizons Transition Project is a 3 year forest school intervention project supporting children in year 6 and 7 at the time of transition from primary to secondary school and beyond.
We are working with 3 primary and 2 secondary schools to provide forest school programmes at key times in the academic year. The children are referred to the project by schools who have identified their need for additional support at this crucial transition time.
A pilot project was funded by Cornwall Community Foundation and this enabled us to secure further funding from Children in Need to roll out the project for a further 3 years. The project is also supported by contributions from participating schools.
